MONTESSORI CHILDREN'S ACADEMY is located at 2560 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson, NV, just south of Sunset Road.

We offer Academic Programs for children ages 18 months - 9 years.

Our school curriculum is founded upon the philosophies and methods of Dr. Maria Montessori, world renowned for her research and innovative method of educating children. Dr. Montessori was the first female physician in Italy, a salient accomplishment for her era. Her method is based upon the premise that each child is a "spiritual embryo" possessing an absorbent mind with a heightened sensitivity to environmental stimuli. Children are born with an intrinsic desire to seek out knowledge and will work tenaciously to master a challenge.

The Montessori method values each child as a unique individual who is allowed to grow and develop at his/her own pace. Montessori environments are designed solely for the purpose of enhancing the child's comfort and intellectual stimulation. Each child experiences the joy of learning for the rewarding satisfaction of acquiring knowledge and skills. Montessori materials offer concrete learning experiences in the concepts illustrated.

Children are guided by nurturing, well-trained teachers to learn a sense of order, respect for the environment and knowledge from diverse academic areas. Their interests and needs are always the foundation for introducing new concepts into their environment.
